Ancient Mesa of Music Instrument located in the west of Gui Mountain
and the bank of Moon Lake is the famous cultural relic of Wuhan. It
was a beautiful legend. It was said in the Spring &Autumn period,2000
years ago, Yu Boya, the minister of Chu State, was good at playing
music instrument very much. One day, he was taking boat downstream
on business. When he arrived Hanyang, it was gale and storm. He stopped
at the Guishan. It was fine, he was very happy and played the music
instrument to announce his ambition. An axman called Zhong Zhiqi listened
besides. Zong understood the music and said, how beautiful the music
it was and it refered to the mountain. later Boya played the instrument
and referred the water. Then Zhiqi praised again and knew the meaning.
So Boya was very happy and knew he met his bosom friend. They made
the friends and made the appointment for the next year. But next year,
when Boya went to the appointment on time, he knew Ziqi has dead in
illness. He was very sad and played the " Mountain and River"
before his grave. He thought he lost his bosom friend and broke the
instrument. He desided that wouldn't play it any longer.
Mesa of Music
Instrument was established in Southern and Northern Dynasty. There
are place of mountain and river, music platform, courtyard, teahouse,
rockery, pool with calyx canthus, clove, laurel, pine. There are
caving, cloister and maze. The all construction remain the ancient
style.
